National Prosecco Week next week!
National Prosecco Week kicks off June 2nd, and we are celebrating one of the world's favorite sparkling wines - Prosecco DOC! Crisp, refreshing, and always ready to party, prosecco is Italy's answer to everyday bubbles.
Made primarily from the Glera grape (with a splash of Pinot Nero for those beautiful Prosecco Rosés), this sparkling wine is produced using the Charmat Method, also known as the Italian Method, where the bubbles come to life in stainless steel tanks, not individual bottles like Champagne. The result? Fresh, vibrant, and incredibly drinkable.
Prosecco ranges from dry (Brut) to sweet (Demi-Sec), with the most common style - Extra Dry - offering a touch of softness and up to 17g/L of residual sugar. For perspective, Brut Nature is bone dry (up to 3g/L), while Demi-Sec is dessert-level sweet (up to 50g/L). That's what's excellent about Prosecco - there's a style for every palate!
So whether you're a long-time sipper or just here for the bubbles, now is the perfect time to stock up!
